Ojhla Bridge

Ojhla Bridge

This bridge falls in the middle of Vindhyachal and Mirzapur. This bridge made of stones is about 300 years old. This bridge crosses Punyajala or Ujjawala, a tributary of the river Ganga. Earlier there was no bridge between Vindhyachal and Mirzapur. Traders have built it with one day’s profit from price fluctuations in the cotton.

This bridge is very old but even today thousands of vehicles pass through it without any hesitation. There are rooms under this bridge which were earlier used to stay for pilgrims.
